Today I warmed up for 5 minutes on treadmill, then jogged 4 miles (2 mi. at "5" and 2 miles at "4.8") on the treadmill. Finished with a 5 minute cooldown. I was dreading this, but it wasn't too bad, just very boring. I'm looking forward to running with a group outside for the run camp.
Speaking of run camp, I picked up my packet at Gazelle's tonight. Stayed for a "how to dress in cold weather" clinic. It was quite informative. Found out I can use my silk long-underwear (that I got for Alaska) to wear as my base layer. Silk has good wicking properties. I think I'll get a fleece shirt to go over that and maybe a jacket with reflective tape. I'm going to check out some of the less expensive stores.
I'm getting excited!
